It is used to determine the energy value of foods & fuels. It consists of a colorimeter vessel (made of Borosil) 205x100mm, height & diameter, comprising of integral water jacket and combustion chamber open at the bottom. At the top of combustion chamber, a heat exchanger (copper tubing) is connected and passes through the lid. The lid has holes for a wire stirrer and for inserting thermometer. A heat resisting platform is provided for putting the calorimeter vessel. It is supplied without stand, rod & power supply unit. |
